The American Homoeo Laboratory was founded in 1925 by Dr.K.C.GEORGE (1895-1960), who began his career as a school teacher.  He was inspired by his father Pastor K.M.Cherian, a Christian missionary who used homoeopathic medicines in his mission field.  He used to treat the sick and the needy poor with homoeopathic medicines in remote interior villages, where modern medicine failed or was just not available.

Later it inspired Dr.K.C.George to study Homoeopathy in – depth.  He gave up his teaching career to pursue higher studies

and secured an M.D. (Hom) from Royal College of Homoeopathy, Calcutta.  He then started practicing Homoeopathy after registering with the Travancore - Cochin Medical Council.

In 1921, during the outburst of small pox, he was able to save enormous number of lives when modern medicine was ineffective.  That was the turning point in his medical profession.  The Catholic Bishop of Thrissur honored him and his treatment and offered him an apt place in the monastery situated in the heart of Thrissur Town in order to help the poor and the needy.

He found time to write 12 popular books in Malayalam (Homoeopathy) based on his clinical experiences including a Medical Dictionary which is still being utilized as reference and guide by eminent physicians.  He was able to create awareness about Homoeopathy among the new generation.

Infant mortality rate was very high at the time due to mal nutrition and lack of immunity.  With his own effort and experience, Dr.K.C.George invented a product named “Balatone” a special combination which was effective as well as affordable.  Balatone remains the preferred choice and retains it’s special place even after eight decades of it’s existence.

Later the second generation joined the same profession to serve the needy.  Late Dr.K.G.GEORGE (1933-2001) followed his path; treating patients, manufacturing and ensuring easy availability of homeopathic medicines and, publishing books on homoeopathy.

Now it’s the turn of the third generation to take this legacy forward and ensure that homeopathy remains a safe, sure and superior way to good health, accessible by all.
